Resumen
- Several new and emerging computational paradigms for engineering problem solving automation and processing of various types of knowledge are reviewed. They are artificial intelligence/sybmolic processing, object-oriented programming paradigm, machine learning, evolutionary computing/genetic algorithms, and neurocomputing. Examples of recent research efforts in each area are briefly described
