Recursos digitales ofrecidos por el SIELAE para el estudio del Siglo de Oro: creación, gestión y evolución de BIDISO

    El SIELAE (Seminario Interdisciplinar para el Estudio de la Literatura Áurea Española) http://www.bidiso.es/sielae de la Universidade da Coruña (España) ha producido desde 1996 recursos digitales (bases de datos y bibliotecas digitales) en torno a cuatro áreas de investigación relacionadas con los siglos XVI y XVII: Emblemática, Relaciones de Sucesos, Polianteas e Inventarios de bibliotecas. Esos recursos fueron ofreciéndose a través de Internet, con acceso libre, a lo largo de los últimos dieciocho años. Recientemente se han integrado en el portal BIDISO. Biblioteca Digital Siglo de Oro http://www.bidiso.es. La colaboración de este grupo de especialistas en Humanidades con otro de especialistas en Informática en la misma universidad (el LBD: Laboratorio de Bases de Datos) http://lbd.udc.es/ ha resultado mutuamente enriquecedor. Se presentan aquí las razones de la creación del SIELAE y el LBD, su finalidad, los logros en dos de las cuatro líneas de investigación (Emblemática y Polianteas) y los detalles técnicos y metodología en la creación y mantenimiento de BIDISO, los aspectos clave en su desarrollo, su evolución, arquitectura, tecnología e infraestructuras actuales.

    Since 1996, the SIELAE (Seminario Interdisciplinar para el Estudio de la Literatura Áurea Española) http://www.bidiso.es/sielae (University of A Coruña, Spain) has produced digital resources (databases and digital libraries) in around four areas of research related to the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries: Emblematics, Early News Pamphlets, Early Modern Encyclopedia (Polyantheae) and Inventories of Personal Libraries. These resources were offered through the Internet, with open access to over the past eighteen years. Recently, they had been integrated into the BIDISO portal (Biblioteca Digital Siglo de Oro) http://www.bidiso.es. The collaboration of this group of specialists in Humanities with another of specialists in Computer Science in the same university (the LBD: Database Laboratory) http://lbd.udc.es has proved mutually enriching. We present here the reasons of the creation of the SIELAE and LBD, purpose, achievements in two of the four investigation lines (Emblematics and Polyantheae) and the technical details and methodology in the creation and maintenance of BIDISO, the key aspects in the development, evolution, architecture, technology and current infrastructures.
