Superconvergence of H(div) finite element approximations for the Stokes problem by local L2-projection methods

  • Resumen
    • In this paper, a general superconvergence result of H(div) finite element approximations for the Stokes equations is established by using the local L2-projection method. Local regularity assumptions for the Stokes problem on regular partitions are required in order to derive superconvergence conclusions. Several numerical experiments are given to verify the theoretical results.
