  En este trabajo se analiza la representación por género en el Congreso de los Diputados a lo largo de las 11 elecciones generales, la cual ha estado lejos de la paridad. Conseguir paridad con la legislación actual depende de la voluntad de los partidos políticos. Se propone como alternativa el método de la triple cremallera aplicado a las listas cerradas y bloqueadas, y se muestra el efecto que habría tenido en todas las elecciones generales. La triple cremallera exige que cada partido encabece la mitad de sus listas cremallera con un género y la otra mitad con el contrario, y que en cada circunscripción la mitad de los partidos encabecen su lista con un género y la otra mitad con el contrario. Con ella se consigue gran igualdad en la representación entre géneros, aunque limita el poder de decisión de los partidos a la hora de elaborar sus listas electorales

  This paper is aimed at analysing the current low level of gender parity representation to Spanish Congress of Representatives along the 11 general elections. To achieve parity with the current legislation depends on the will of the political parties. It is set out as alternative the method of triple zipper applied to the closed and blocked lists, and it is shown the effect that this method would had in all the general elections. The triple zipper requires that each party heads the half of its lists with a given gender and the other half with the opposite gender, and in each constituency the half of the parties heads their lists with a gender and the other half with the opposite one. Thereby a high parliamentary gender parity is achieved, but it limits the decision-making power of parties in the elaboration of their lists
