  • Resumen
    • This article will describe a project designed for use in a liberal arts mathematics course that satisfies an institutional quantitative reasoning requirement. Students, working in groups of four, are responsible for introducing and explaining new material to the rest of their class. Their reporting of mathematical information is modeled in the style of news reports as seen on the PBS NewsHour. This paper will outline the structure of the project, detail assessment strategies, provide examples of student work, and give samples of student feedback about the exercise.
