    Proyecto emergente centrado en la desambiguacion de toponimos y la deteccion del foco geogra co en el texto. La nalidad es mejorar el rendimiento de los sistemas de recuperacion de informacion geogra ca. Se describen los problemas abordados, la hipotesis de trabajo, las tareas a realizar y los objetivos parciales alcanzados.

    This project is focused on toponym disambiguation and geographical focus identi cation in text. The goal is to improve the performance of geographic information retrieval systems. This paper describes the problems faced, working hypothesis, tasks proposed and goals currently achieved.
