Maps of absolute retracts for tree-like continua

Resumen
- It is shown that the class \artl of absolute retracts for tree-like continua is invariant with respect to monotone maps. From the past results it follows that the inverse limit of trees with confluent bonding maps is an absolute retract for tree-like (and more generally, hereditarily unicoherent) continua. In this paper we provide the first example of a member of \artl that is not such a limit.
