Spoken Dialogue Management systems constitute one of the main research trends in Computational Linguistics. The integration of speech recognition, natural language understanding, dialogue management, natural language generation and speech synthesis poses a crucial challenge to these systems. This paper describes the implementation of a spoken dialogue system based on the Information State Update point of view of dialogues for an automatic telephone operator scenario.
