  • Resumen
    • This paper examines the role that expected working hours play in the process of modelling reservation wages by going a step further on the approach of Bloemen and Stancanelli (2001). We undertake a theoretical and empirical approach to show that estimating the reservation- wage equation with expected hours on the right hand side is roughly the same, in terms of size and significance level of â coefficients, as estimating an equation where the amount of expected hours is not taken into account. The empirical evidence reported is based on data coming from the ECHP for Southern European Countries.
