  • Resumen
    • Aggregate Planning has been studied for decades. In this paper we consider a real problem where some new considerations have arisen. The case study will cover a real engine manufacturer and assembler serving from their local premises to clients all over the world, with variable demands and calendars. The system allows to plan and re-plan the working calendar, together with the productive capacity of the main assembly line and its links with their main, both internal and external suppliers. The real extended system had requirements that are not usually considered on literature. To introduce the requirements of this extended production system a new sets of constraints have been introduced. The model has been designed and calibrated in a prototype-validation iterative process. The system has been developed using free-software and its interfaces have been designed to require the minimum possible interaction between. The time cost due to the use of noncommercial software has been assesed.
