Resumen de Dimensionamento estructural de mastros metálicos

Rui C. Barros

  • Taperad steel masts have been used as supporting structuras for lighting and communications towers, for heights of around 30 meters and beyond. Steady and non-steady mast responses to wind pressures and loading are formulated. Por flexible masts it la raquired to analyse the damped dynamic bahaviour at the fundamental mode, due to wind actions. Also the second order moments, accounting for the so-called P - A effects, should be included in the analysis of tha masts carrying capacity, with due considaration on axial and lateral loads, dead weight distribution due to taper and code specifications for initial imperfections. A design example according tu EuruCode-3 is included, detailing buckling and stability considerations and the calculation of mast carrying capacity.
