Resumen de Geometric Characterization of Configurations with Defect Three

  • The Geometric Characterization, introduced by Chung and Yao, characterizes the sets of nodes (GC) such that the Lagrange polynomials are products of factors of first degree. In order to classify GC sets, the defect of a configuration was introduced. A complete description has been given for sets of defect 0, 1 and 2. We present a full description of all GC sets with defect 3 and some techniques which seem to be useful for the analysis of GC sets with higher defect.
