On the reconstruction index of permutation groups: general bounds

  • We obtain a general bound for the reconstruction index of a permutation group. As a consequence bounds for the index of primitive and linear permutation groups can be obtained. In addition we give expressions for the reconstruction index of imprimitive wreath products in terms of the index of the constituent factors.
