The unperturbed Kepler problem has been investigated in great detail, and solved in the light of very different formulations and methods. As expected and well known, the conclusion is drawn that the orbit equation corresponde to a conic section having a focus at the force centre. In this Note, some of those methods are confronted with a class of somewhat more general force models, namely, the so-called quasi-Keplerian systems and some of their possible generalizations.
