The increasing volatility of the electricity market, driven by the penetrationof renewable energy sources, requires accurate Electricity Price Forecasting (EPF) models toensure efficient energy management in the residential sector. This work addresses short-termforecasting (24-hour horizon) of the Spanish regulated tariff (PVPC) using the Temporal FusionTransformer (TFT) architecture, designed to capture complex temporal dependencies whilemaintaining interpretability. Using real data from 2024, the performance of the proposedmodel is evaluated against LSTM networks and persistence-based methods. The experimentalresults demonstrate the superiority of the TFT, achieving an MAE of 30.63 €/MWh and ansMAPE of 0.1838, representing a 28.7 % reduction in error compared to the conventionalLSTM architecture.
