This paper studies the dynamics of an infinite-dimensional HIV infection model incorporating two distinct time delays and two infection modes. Well-posedness and existence of equilibria of the considered system are first established. Then global asymptotical stability of the disease-free equilibrium is discussed by applying theory of operator semigroups and spectral analysis. For the endemic equilibrium, the joint effect of two delays on the stability is analyzed by employing the stability switching curve method. The obtained results allow us to determine the stability of this equilibrium in the two delays’ plane precisely and prove that periodic oscillations (Hopf bifurcations) emerge as the delay parameters cross the stability switching curves.
Finally some numerical simulations and sensitivity analysis are provided to illustrate the theoretical results.
