This systematic review presents the characteristics of scientific production in the field of mathematical aesthetics and the school mathematics curriculum using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) methodology and examines how research addresses the integration of aesthetics into the teaching of mathematics through the curriculum. The analysis shows that fostering aesthetic experiences within the curriculum through inquiry, narratives, technology, and manipulative materials, as well as recognizing the diversity of sensibilities, enhances appreciation of this discipline. The results offer guidelines for designing curricula that promote the aesthetic dimension of mathematics.
