    El femicidio, también conocido como feminicidio, es la forma más extrema de violencia de género y se define como el asesinato intencionado de mujeres por el hecho de ser mujeres. El objetivo de la presente investigación consistió en evaluar y comparar las estadísticas de feminicidio a nivel mundial en los últimos ocho años. Se empleó Análisis de varianza y el coeficiente de correlación de Spearman. Al comparar las diferentes tasas de feminicidio en el tiempo (2015-2022), se detectó diferencia altamente significativa entre regiones, donde África ocupa la primera posición seguida de América y Oceanía.

    Femicide, also known as feminicide, is the most extreme form of gender-based violence, and it is defined as the intentional killing of women by the sole fact of being women. The objective of the current piece of research consisted of assessing and comparing global statistical figures on femicide over the last eight years. Analysis of variance and Spearman’s correlation coefficient were used. By using the different rates on femicide in the (2015-2022) period, a highly significant difference among regions was detected, where Africa ranking first, followed by the America and Oceania.
