Resumen de Medición y confrontación: una actividad de control al emerger las diferentes representaciones semióticas

  Se presenta un experimento educativo en el que se coloca a prueba el diseño de un conjunto de actividades didácticas bajo la estructura de exploración guiada, la cual permite que el estudiante adopte mayor responsabilidad en el momento de desarrollarlas. Se promueve el uso de artefactos materiales (hoja de papel y regla graduada) para el trabajo matemático de estudiantes de primer año de universidad. Se estudia la noción de variación de variables, relación de dependencia entre variables, las distintas representaciones semióticas de esas relación y concreción de una posible relación funcional, mediante una actividad lúdica relacionada con el recorrido de una hormiga a través del perímetro de un cuadrado. Los resultados indican que la integración de artefactos materiales y el promover un trabajo en diferentes representaciones semióticas del objeto matemático, permite que los estudiantes ejerzan una inspección de éste y un avance en sus nociones sobre los conceptos en cuestión. Además, este tipo de actividad lúdica facilita el acercamiento a los conceptos matemáticos en estudiantes universitarios, con lo cual se permite acceder a la posible generación de hipótesis y a su verificación favorecida por la integración de tecnología.

An educational experiment is presented in which the design of a set of didactic activities is tested under the structure of guided exploration, which allows the student to adopt greater responsibility at the moment of developing them. The use of material artifacts (sheet of paper and graduated ruler) is promoted for the mathematical work of first year university students. The notion of variation of variables, dependence relationship between variables, the different semiotic representations of these relationships and the concretion of a possible functional relationship are studied through a ludic activity related to the trajectory of an ant through the perimeter of a square. The results indicate that the integration of material artifacts and the promotion of a work on different semiotic representations of the mathematical object, allows students to exercise an inspection of it and an advance in their notions about the concepts in question. In addition, this type of ludic activity facilitates the approach to mathematical concepts in university students, thus allowing access to the possible generation of hypotheses and their verification favored by the integration of technology.
