      Esta investigación aborda os sistemas de soporte a la toma de decisiones (DSS, por sus siglas en inglés) en la gestión académica de instituciones de educación superior, centrándose en la asignación de asignaturas y la creación de horarios. Se destaca la importancia de la planificación de actividades y la toma de decisiones en entornos con alta incertidumbre y cómo los DSS han evolucionado con la incorporación de inteligencia artificial (IA) para adaptarse a un entorno muy dinámico. La metodología utilizada en el estudio es una revisión sistemática de la literatura que proporciona una estructura definida y objetiva para analizar estudios primarios en el periodo del 2015 al 2023. Se exponen propuestas para mejorar la asignación de actividades docentes y la creación de horarios, utilizando técnicas como minería de datos y algoritmos genéticos. Se destaca la importancia de combinar los problemas de asignación de asignaturas y creación de horarios.

      This research addresses decision support systems (DSS) in the academic management of higher education institutions, focusing on subject assignment and schedule creation. The importance of activity planning and decision-making in highly uncertain environments is highlighted. DSS has evolved by incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) to adapt to a dynamic environment. The methodology used in the study is a systematic review of the literature that provides a defined and objective structure to analyze primary studies from 2015 to 2023. Proposals are presented to improve the assignment of teaching activities and the creation of schedules using techniques such as data mining and genetic algorithms. The importance of combining the problems of subject assignment and schedule creation is highlighted.
