The crisis caused by the appearance of the COVID-19 pandemic has caused serious problems in the educational field worldwide. An unprecedented scenario has been generated for people with disabilities or disabilities, which presents major problems such as social isolation, emotional imbalance, and the widening of the digital divide. The general objective of the research has been: "Analyse the scientific production related to the use of Information and Communication Technologies as a means to improve the teaching and learning process of people with disabilities and autism spectrum disorders during the pandemic". A bibliographic, documentary and content analysis of the publications resulting from the international database, Google Scholar, which meet the eleven defined inclusion and exclusion criteria, was carried out, selecting a total of 50 articles. The aim of this paper is to delimit the main lines of research on the use of exergames by elderly adults through a literature review. The search for studies was carried out in the Web of Science and SCOPUS databases. A series of inclusion and exclusion criteria were established for the literature review and evaluation. The design used for the content analysis of the selected studies was based on a mixed concurrent triangulation design; the results were analysed from a quantitative and qualitative approach in independent and simultaneous phases. From the quantitative approach, descriptive and frequency analyses of the variables of analysis were performed. For the qualitative analyses, classical content analysis procedures were followed, data reduction was performed through inductive analysis by establishing the subcategories of analysis based on two levels, intracoder and intercoder until agreement was reached among the research team. Subsequently, the data were arranged and grouped through the visual resources offered by NVivo. Finally, the results were obtained by applying the use of metaphors and analogies, as well as the inclusion of vignettes and narrative fragments. The findings obtained in this study have allowed us to identify different lines of studies on the implementation of exergame systems as resources aimed at physical and cognitive training that promote the improvement of well-being and quality of life in elderly adults.

taking into account the growing technological progress of today’s society.
The flipped classroom is a methodology through which the student assumes the leading role during the teaching-learning process. This methodology represents a valuable and novel learning proposal, in the face of the growing use of digital and virtual media. For the development of the research, the research question was formulated: What are the strengths and difficulties in the implementation of a subject in the area of health sciences through the flipped classroom strategy? and the general research objective: To analyse the strengths and difficulties in the use
of the flipped classroom strategy in the subject of community mental health care. Thirty-one students selected by intentional sampling participated, with a mixed research design (dItrIaC) where different phases are applied, both quantitative and qualitative, developing both methods in parallel. In this way, data collection and data analysis are carried out simultaneously. The results show a student preference for the flipped classroom methodology, with the use of electronic resources
and media, rather than traditional learning with the teacher’s lectures in the classroom. In addition, the results show that the flipped model enriches learning and reinforces content acquisition, while generating interest, stimulating, motivational and useful in the area of mental health.

The use of information and communication technologies has increased progressively in Honduras with the emergence of the pandemic, educational centres have had to adapt their educational offerings to a virtual methodology. This research has been contextualised in students of mathematical sciences at the Francisco Morazán National Pedagogical University. The research question was: What levels of Digital competence do NPUFM Mathematics Science students have and what is the relationship between its dimensions and their age and frequency of use of technological resources? The general objective was: To analyse the Digital Competence of NPUFM Mathematics Science students and its relationship with age and the use of ICT. By means of convenience sampling, 255 students were selected to participate in the research. A questionnaire was used for Digital Competence analysis consisting of six dimensions. A qualitative descriptive and correlational methodology was used for data analysis. Positive and significant correlations were obtained between all the DC dimensions. They were also positively related to age, but not to time spent using ICT on a daily and weekly basis. In addition, a negative correlation was found between age and time spent using ICT resources on a daily and weekly basis.

Chronic ankle instability (CAI) is a common pathology in handball. The role of the
intrinsic musculature of the foot in these players in relation to proprioception and stability has
not been stablished. The objective of this study was to compare the ultrasound morphology of
the heel fat pad of the foot in professional handball players to CAI in healthy players and establish
relationships between CAI and physical and psychological variables. The study has been a descriptive
observational case–control study in which 20 professional handball male players over 18 years of age
were divided into 8 cases (CAI) and 12 controls (healthy). An ultrasound evaluation, the thickness
and/or cross-sectional area at rest and the contraction measurement of the Abductor Digiti Minimi,
Abductor Hallucis, Flexor Digitorum Brevis and Quadratus Plantae muscles were analyzed. Moreover,
the compressibility index of the heel fat pad and the activation of the abdominal wall musculature
(ultrasound), the flexion strength of the hallux and lesser toes (dynamometry), the foot functionality
(Bristol Foot Score (BFS) questionnaire) and the psychological variables (self-reported questionnaires)
were measured. There were no significant differences between the activation capacity values of
the foot muscles of healthy and CAI athletes. Significant differences were found between groups
regarding the BFS score (p = 0.007), d = 1.404), and significant correlations were also found between
hallux flexion strength and lesser toes flexion strength in the total sample. Although there were
no differences between the two groups, the identification of the activation pattern of these muscles
in handball athletes is essential to the improvement of performance and preventing injuries such
    as CAI.

This article identifies the socio-emotional competencies of school counsellors working with children and adolescents. The aim is to address problems related to mental health and conflict and to implement training programmes. The study sample was composed of 149 counsellors working in schools. The instruments used were the CCPES-II (questionnaire on teacher competences) and a series of open-ended questions on conflict resolution. A mixed methodology was used, with a concurrent triangulation design with two phases: a quantitative one (QUAN) and a qualitative one (QUAL). Univariate, bivariate, and correlation quantitative analyses were performed. Parametric and non-parametric tests were applied depending on the number of dependent and independent variables. The qualitative analysis was performed with the NVivo 12 computer programme, which determines word frequencies using a classic content analysis. The results confirm the relationship between socio-emotional training and rapid response to school conflict; the generalised view that conflicts are difficult to anticipate and, thus, to prevent; and the demand for specific training in socio-emotional competences, intervention strategies, more specialised school staff, more time for intervention with and support for families, and more socio-professional recognition.

The current education model for key competencies sets a guided path through the official curriculum, often delivered through an autonomous and repetitive approach by the education centres. Therefore, based on Dewey and Kolb's experiential learning concepts, several experiential activities have been designed for Astronomy education to be offered by a multidisciplinary team of specialists. To analyse its efficiency, our research team proposed the following question: What key benefits and competencies can be acquired through experiential learning activities related to Astronomy? The team applied a qualitative methodology and an interpretative approach to the observational study. It involved the participation of 42 first-year students of Compulsory Secondary Education, divided into two equal groups. An observation checklist was designed and validated for data collection, and 60 photographs of nature were selected. CAQDAS and, in particular NVivo 12, were the tools used for data analysis. One of the most significant findings is that the students who received an enriching experience through the proposed learning model show a higher level of attention, engagement, interest, participation, and reflection on the activities. The results and the learning, with hypothetical situations, help them derive, channel and apply the knowledge to their daily lives.

Background: This study aimed to compare well-being and physical activity (PA) before
and during COVID-19 confinement in older adults with heart failure (HF), to compare well-being
and PA during COVID-19 confinement in octogenarians and non-octogenarians, and to explore
well-being, social support, attention to symptoms, and assistance needs during confinement in
this population. Methods: A mixed-methods design was performed. Well-being (Cantril Ladder
of Life) and PA (International Physical Activity Questionnaire) were assessed. Semi-structured
interviews were performed to assess the rest of the variables. Results: 120 participants were evaluated
    (74.16 12.90 years; octogenarians = 44.16%, non-octogenarians = 55.83%). Both groups showed
lower well-being and performed less PA during confinement than before (p < 0.001). Octogenarians
    reported lower well-being (p = 0.02), higher sedentary time (p = 0.03), and lower levels of moderate
PA (p = 0.04) during confinement. Most individuals in the sample considered their well-being to have
decreased during confinement, 30% reported decreased social support, 50% increased their attention
to symptoms, and 60% were not satisfied with the assistance received. Octogenarians were more
severely impacted during confinement than non-octogenarians in terms of well-being, attention to
symptoms, and assistance needs. Conclusions: Well-being and PA decreased during confinement,
although octogenarians were more affected than non-octogenarians. Remote monitoring strategies are
needed in elders with HF to control health outcomes in critical periods, especially in octogenarians

A table of categories was elaborated, with a double methodology: in the first place deductive, through the analysis of the existing literature on the subject analysed, selecting the fundamental categories of study. On the other hand, it is inductive, through the construction of emerging categories that arise when performing data analysis. It has been verified that most of the references are written by a single author, corresponding to doctoral theses that delve into the use of technologies to improve communication and learning of people with visual and hearing disabilities as the most relevant cases, during the period of confinement. caused by COVID-19. Likewise, it has been observed that there are still many difficulties and a great problem in access to information and communication technology resources by this group, requiring greater help from public and private institutions. The findings found show that it is necessary to provide greater access to technologies by the public administration, while physical or motor disabilities should have greater importance in the scientific literature, since they are the least treated.

Research in the Humanities is a field that has been gaining relevance in recent years. However, their production and impact levels are still low. In this sense, this article aims to analyze three categories that correspond to the motivations and competencies of the researcher in Humanities, the strategies for promoting research and publication in the Humanities, and the impact of publications in this area of knowledge. The qualitative
approach was used through content analysis. A non-probabilistic sampling of international Humanities expert researchers was carried out. In this study participated seventeen professors from 13 institutions of higher-level education. The webQDA software was used
for data analysis. The main results concerning the motivations show that the most relevant for the respondents are disseminating their research (20,59%). Regarding the competencies of the researcher, 33,33% indicated that they do possess these competencies and have a
genuine interest in their object of study. Concerning the promotion of research, 30% highlighted that the university offers monetary incentives for publication and different seedbeds to encourage its academics' research. About the impact of the publications, 24%
of the researchers pointed out that the natural sciences impose the criteria; and, finally, 76,47% indicated that the H index or the number of citations of a scientific article is not appropriate to assess the impact in the area of the Humanities. In conclusion, these results
suggest that Humanities researchers need their scientific and academic production to be evaluated using criteria different from those generally used in science and technology according to the characteristics and nature of their field of study.

In today's society, big changes happen in a fleeting way. Technological progress implies that teachers must constantly adapt and reinvent themselves and that their training process is developed throughout their lives. It is no longer enough to have a degree or qualification to achieve success or happiness. To professional performance we must add some key skills, such as communication skills, relationship skills, attitude, etc.
together with the flexibility to accept the challenges that arise on a daily basis. Twelve activities were developed, based on Kolb's experiential learning cycle and Dewey's Experiential Learning Theory with the students of a Secondary Education Center with the aim of observing and verifying the degree of usefulness and feasibility of the project. The research was based on the qualitative paradigm through the content analysis of the semistructured interviews that were carried out with four teachers from the Center, who participated in the experience. A table of categories was designed with a mixed process: deductive and inductive. Among the main conclusions obtained, it is highlighted that the
activities carried out have encouraged the participation of the students, they have learned the contents treated, their curiosity and their capacity for organization and their autonomy. On the other hand, a very positive assessment has been obtained from the teaching staff and they emphasize that for the experience to be viable in other Educational
Centers, a good organization of all the agents involved and the educational community itself is necessary, at the same time that teacher involvement is necessary. The use of a qualitative methodology in this research has made it possible to deepen the opinion of the
agents involved, to improve and disseminate the experience.

This research is based on the Teaching Innovation and Improvement Project 2021/2022 aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals on health, well-being and quality education, comprehensively addressing the challenges of sustainable educational systems. The appearance of the pandemic caused by COVID-19 has
increased concern for the physical and mental health of the young and university population, producing serious negative consequences due to the decrease in physical activity and the psychological repercussion caused by social isolation. The research objective has been: "Analyze leisure and free time activities based on healthy life indicators developed in University of Salamanca to develop a healthy leisure guide". The
research design has been based on content analysis, creating a table of categories and an open response questionnaire for data collection. Among the main results, it can be highlighted that for university students, leisure and free time is synonymous with fun, health and mental balance and time to pursue their hobbies. Among the main reasons for
not enjoying their free time and leisure, the lack of time and the academic load stand out. Among the places near their place of residence, where they can carry out leisure and free time activities, parks and gardens, sports venues and bars stand out. The students highlight
that the pandemic has caused their social relationships to be considerably reduced and that they value and enjoy more things and activities that they did not previously take into account. The use of a qualitative methodology for this type of work has helped to understand the reasons for the poor quality in the use of their leisure time, in an exhaustive and close way.

The research to be presented has been carried out in the context of a Teaching Innovation and Improvement Project for the academic year 2021/2022, called "Healthy leisure for students of the university population". The study is framed in the University of
Salamanca and is aimed at the integration and development of the Sustainable Development Goals, responding to the research question: What profiles of leisure and free time does and demand the youth population of the University of Salamanca? A content
analysis design has been used, with the creation of a category table in a mixed way, inductively and deductively, and an open response questionnaire. The results indicate that the main facilities of the Universiade de Salamanca that the students use for their leisure and free time are the sports center and the gymnasium, and the auditorium the least. Among the leisure and free time activities most practiced by students, team sports stand out, with paddle tennis being the most reported. As improvements to the offer of leisure
and free time activities of the University of Salamanca, it was observed that trips and excursions should be increased, together with social activities of coexistence, due to the large reduction in the capacity to carry out group activities and with same. The use of a
qualitative methodology has made it possible to delve into the analysis of preferences in leisure and free time of the students of the University of Salamanca in an efficient way.

Living Labs are spaces and laboratories created in natural areas aimed at social innovation. The basic principle of these labs is improving people's quality of life and the improvement of regions, the functioning of companies, etc. One of the areas in which Living Labs interventions are applied is the elderly. Seniorlabs are initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of older people. Actions include improving physical health, mental health, the home, and technologies for these purposes. The qualitative study presented in this document has been carried out to determine the relationship between the elderly and digital technology, in other words, what use the elderly make of it. It also aims to answer the research question: do people over 65 use technology in their daily lives? Using a phenomenological perspective, semi-structured interviews were conducted with people over 65 years of age in Spain to carry out the study. From the study, it can be concluded that various initiatives are optimistically being carried out in different European countries and that impact research on these actions is being published. Finally, it can also be concluded that older people use fewer technologies in their daily lives than those that exist to make their lives easier. The main reasons for this are that they do not know how to use them or are afraid to use them and damage the device.

The pandemic caused by COVID-19 has led many more universities to increase the number of online courses they offer. Methodological processes and infrastructure have had to be adapted so as to make the shift from a classroom-based model to distance learning. The context of our research is the Master’s Degree in Research in Teacher Training and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Two research objectives were established: To determine the changes that take place between the beginning and end of the Master’s degree in relation to the students’ engagement with ICT and to ascertain if students’ perception of the problems encountered in the virtual teaching/learning process has changed. Twenty-one master’s students took part. The research was based on the qualitative paradigm, with a content analysis research design. A table of categories was developed and validated, from which the script for the structured interviews was prepared. The main findings highlight the lack of training and involvement of teachers and their failure to adapt to the online methodology, together with a decrease in student motivation, as being particularly problematic in the teaching and learning process.

The distance education model has insufficient consideration of the emotional aspects of the students, where the training action takes place without personal interactions, causing it to be very difficult to feel like a member of an educational community. The research aimed to observe the evolution of emotions and learning styles during the Master's Degree in Research in Teacher Training and ICT. A quasiexperimental, pretest-posttest, single-group research design was employed, using descriptive and inferential data analysis. On the one hand, the questionnaire to measure emotions towards the elements of online education. On the other hand, the REATIC (Relation of Learning Styles with ICT, in Spanish) questionnaire. A significant increase in boredom has been observed and the predominant learning styles are pragmatic and theoretical.

The objective of the research was to observe the evolution of attitude, knowledge, and use of ICT resources in students during the progression of the Research Master's degree in Teacher Training and ICTs in the Faculty of Education at the University of Extremadura. A total of 21 students from the Master's program participated. A concurrent triangulation mixed method was used, combining descriptive and inferential data analysis with content analysis, developing the quantitative and qualitative designs in parallel. Among the main conclusions obtained, it is noted that no statistically significant differences were observed in the attitude, knowledge, and use of ICT resources of the students between the beginning and the end of the Master's program. However, a positive correlation was found between knowledge and the use of ICT resources, both at the beginning and at the end of the Master's program. Moreover, it was found that not only do the students have a positive attitude and a medium knowledge with the use of ICT resources but also that the main problems in the teaching/learning process in the online Master's program are related to the teaching staff and organization.

The technological infrastructure in educational centres in Extremadura has grown considerably since the 1990s. Numerous technological resources have been implemented to help teaching and to improve students' digital competence. This study has aimed to observe the use of ICT resources by teachers in Extremadura and their perceptions of their application in the classroom before the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on education. A total of 1953 teachers from Extremadura have participated and a cross-sectional descriptive design with a survey has been used. A questionnaire was designed for data collection and validated by carrying out a series of processes, such as the preparation of a first draft based on a previously applied questionnaire, adaptation and review by the research team, validation by experts and reliability checking. The results have shown differences according to gender, level of teaching performance and teaching experience, in the use of IT resources and training in technology. Likewise, it was found that there is a clear positive correlation between these parameters analysed in the teaching staff of Extremadura. The results obtained are of great value and open up new lines of research to compare the differences in the use, knowledge and perception of teachers' education in ICT resources.

Nowadays there is an intense use of technologies in education and it is rising. Higher education has evolved and extended the paradigm of traditional learning to the use of virtual campuses as a work tool for teachers and students that help them to have information available in real time, while facilitating communication and the exchange of activities among the members of the community. With our study, we have proposed how to analyze the objects of learning and the perception of the teaching staff about the virtual campus of the University of Extremadura through a mixed design of concurrent triangulation. The sample was composed by 252 teachers who have helped us to observe that there are no significant differences in relation to gender, age and the branch of research on the perception of the learning objects of the virtual campus of the University of Extremadura. It has been observed that the main positive points of the campus are that it is mainly used as a repository of information and it improves communication between students and teachers, while its main negative points are its functioning and its interface.

The information and knowledge society has grown by leaps and bounds from the impulse
of the distance education and the inclusión of the ICT in teaching. This implies that teachers
must be and feel digitally competent to develop their work effectively. We have developed
a study to analyze three parameters that define the digital competence in teachers of the
province of Badajoz: the treatment of information, the selection and creation of content and
teacher communication. Together with these variables, we have included sociodemographic
parameters that help us to define the keys within the configuration of the digital teaching
competence, such as the gender, the age, the experience, the máximun academic degree, the
educational level of teaching and the population of the teaching municipality. The results have
shown as a priority, teachers give greater importance to the treatment of information and that
both the age and the academic qualifications of the teacher are fundamental variables, since as
the age increases and the teacher’s training improves, the variables that configure the digital
competence, training teachers for a correct teaching activity in digital terms, and therefor,
more adapted to the needs of the contemporary school.

In Extremadura, there are two models for the development of Vocational Training, one faceto-face and the other virtual called Plan @vanza. Our objective has been to compare if there are significant differences between the modalities and the participants involved in the training models, by means of a quantitative research, by means of a descriptive and inferential analysis through a questionnaire facilitated to students and teachers of cycles of Higher Degree in Extremadura. The results show that if the use of ICT increases, students improve their use and there is more availability of ITC in face-to-face mode

Higher education tries to adapt its training offer to a restless student by the use of ICT, training them for an adequate profesional development. Therefore, it is essential to assess whether the knowledge and attitudes of students correlate with emotions felt when doing a postgraduate course at distance, analyzong whether the learning process is apropiate. The results show that there is a correlation between the knowledge of ITC resources and digital competence, as well as with emotions towards the elements of the virtual platform, the task offered b the faculty and the specific emotions towards the tasks.
