Resumen de Generation and detection of high frequencygravitational waves

Miquel Portilla Árbol académico, Ramón Lapiedra Civera Árbol académico

  • The Gertsenshtein effect, discovered in 1962, produced some work, in the seventies, about the possibility of generating, and detecting, high frequency gravitational waves. Unfourtunately, the efficiency of the generator imagined, a cavity resonator, was too small, many orders bellow the observability threshold. In this contribution we discuss the foundation of a wave generator that could produce gravitatinal waves with amplitude major than the detection's threshold.
