Resumen de Participación del Consejo de las Niñas y los Niños en la transformación del entorno hospitalario

  Este trabajo parte del proyecto desarrollado por Tonucci en “La Ciudad de los Niños”, quien defiende la necesidad de reconocer los derechos de los niños y sus necesidades haciendo especial hincapié en el proceso participativo y la autonomía. Para Tonucci, el niño es el parámetro en la transformación de las ciudades y los entornos (p.e., escuelas, parques…). Sin embargo, existe un entorno al que, hasta ahora, se le había prestado escasa atención: los hospitales, en ellos los niños son pacientes y protagonistas. Tonucci (2015) reconoce “también el hospital debería adecuarse al niño”. El objetivo de este proyecto fue dar voz a los niños para que participasen en la toma de decisiones de la transformación del ambiente hospitalario, con la intención de fomentar su bienestar a través de la expresión de las emociones que incidan en su recuperación. Este trabajo muestra los resultados que se han llevado a cabo en el Hospital San Jorge de Huesca y los inicios del proyecto “Hagamos divertida la espera”, para la mejora de la sala de espera pediátrica y pasillos del Centro de Salud Perpetuo Socorro (actualmente ubicada en la 2ª planta del Hospital Sagrado Corazón de Jesús). Para ello se recogieron las ideas transmitidas por los/as consejeros/as a través de las sesiones de trabajo del Consejo oscense y de la Comisión de Salud con el personal hospitalario. Se expande así la estructuración a nuevos espacios de salud.

  This work is part of the project developed by Tonucci in "The City of Children", which defends the need to recognize the rights of children and their needs with special emphasis on the participatory process and autonomy. For Tonucci, the child is the parameter in the transformation of cities and environments (eg, schools, parks ...). However, there is an environment to which, until now, little attention has been paid: hospitals, in them children are patients and protagonists. Tonucci (2015) recognizes "also the hospital should be adapted to the child". The objective of this project was to give children a voice to participate in the decision making of the transformation of the hospital environment, with the intention of promoting their well-being through the expression of emotions that affect their recovery. This work shows the results that have been carried out in the San Jorge Hospital of Huesca and the beginnings of the project "Let's make fun the wait", for the improvement of the pediatric waiting room and corridors of the Perpetuo Socorro Health Center (currently located on the 2nd floor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Hospital). To this end, the ideas transmitted by the counselors were collected through the work sessions of the Huescen Council and the Health Commission with the hospital staff. This expands the structure to new health spaces.
