      Este artículo presenta el grupo de investigación GaLan (Entornos de Aprendizaje Adaptativos) del Dpto. de Lenguajes y Sistemas Informáticos de la Universidad del País Vasco UPV/EHU.

      La labor investigadora del grupo se centra en aplicar la inteligencia artificial y las tecnologías de la información y comunicación al desarrollo de entornos de aprendizaje flexibles y adaptativos. Con este objetivo, investiga en distintas líneas relacionadas con la adquisición del conocimiento del dominio, la mejora de los procesos de aprendizaje y, de modo transversal, las metodologías híbridas para el desarrollo de aplicaciones interactivas.

      This paper introduces the GaLan research group (Adaptive Teaching-Learning Environments) (Languages and Computer Systems Department) of the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU. The research work of the group focuses on applying Artificial Intelligence and Information and Communication Technologies for developing flexible and adaptive learning environments. With this aim, they research in different lines related to the domain knowledge acquisition, the learning processes improvement and, in a transversal way, hybrid methodologies for the development of interactive applications development.
