Resumen de Educación Secundaria de Adultos en Argentina: un estudio de las transformaciones curriculares

  Se analizan las transformaciones curriculares en la Educación Secundaria de Adultos (ESA) en Argentina, desde 1968. Se realiza un análisis documental de (N=32) textos oficiales, obtenidos del Ministerio de Educación. Se realiza una categorización inductiva de los documentos que identifica y describe 4 etapas caracterizadas por fuertes cambios políticos, sociales y económicos. En cada etapa se describen los objetivos institucionales de la ESA, la población a la que está dirigida, el contexto socio-económico, y las diferencias con las demás etapas. Los resultados indican que en su origen (etapa 1), la ESA proponía la formación integral al adulto a partir del análisis de sus necesidades. Las trasformaciones curriculares, producto de leyes como la de reforma del estado, la de transferencia de los servicios educativos a las jurisdicciones y la Ley de Educación Nacional, condujeron a la ESA a asumir nuevas responsabilidades alejadas de los fines por la que fue creada.

  This paper analyzes the curricular transformations of the Adult Secondary Education (ASE) in Argentina, from 1968 to the present. A documentary analysis of (N = 32) official texts provided by the Ministry of Education and an inductive characterization is carried out, allowing the identification and description of four stages characterized by strong political, social and economic changes. Each stage describes the ESA’s institutional objectives, the target population, the social and economic context, and its differences with other stages. The results indicate that at the beginning (stage 1), ASE was proposed to develop comprehensive adult education, based on the analysis of the adult students’ needs. Curricular transformations, as a result of laws such as statereform and the transfer of education services to jurisdictions and the National Education Law, led the ASE to assume new responsibilities away from the purposes which it was created for.
