Resumen de El Zorro y las Matemáticas en México

  Este articulo pretende relacionar a William Lamport, personaje real en el que se basa la figura llevada al cine con el sobrenombre de "El Zorro" con el circulo de científicos reunidos en torno a fray Diego Rodríguez, primer catedrático de Astrología y Matemáticas de la universidad de México y observar los intereses comunes de todos ellos par !as doctrinas herméticas, cuestionando no solo la jerarquización del cosmos sino también la paralela jerarquización política y eclesiástica.

  The aim of this article is to establish the connection between William Lamport, on whose life the movie character "El Zorro" is based on, and the circle of scientists who gathered around Fray Diego Rodriguez, the first Professor of Astrology and Mathematics at the University of Mexico, to reflect about the hermetic doctrines, questioning not only the hierarchy of the Cosmos, but also the political and ecclesiastical one resulting from it.
