Sociología contra antropología: la crítica de la antropología desde la filosofía positiva

    Establecer los límites entre ciencias que tienen un mismo objeto de estudio fue siempre una fuente de conflicto entre disciplinas, máxime cuando esas ciencias no están bien definidas o están en proceso de constitución.

    En este trabajo se analiza el debate que, dentro del marco filosófico del positivismo, tuvo lugar entre un filósofo, representante ortodoxo del pensamiento comtiano, que pretendía para la sociología el papel de ciencia general del hombre, y un miembro de la Société d¹Anthropologie de Paris, para quien ese carácter lo tenía, más que ninguna otra ciencia, la nueva antropología positiva, que por entonces culminaba su proceso de institucionalización.

    To establish the limits between sciences which have the same study aim, has been a conflicts source between the different disciplines, especially when these sciences aren¹t clearly defined or they are in a constitution process.

    In this work we analyse, in the philosophical framework of positivism, the debate which happened between a philosopher, who was an orthodox representative of the Comtian thought and who pretended the role of the general science of mankind for the sociology, and a fellow from the Société d¹Anthropologie de Paris, who thought that this character belonged, more than another science, to the new Positive Anthropology, which in that time culminated in its institutionalisation process.
