En esta actividad se aprovecha el auge y la cercanía de los símbolos del WhatsApp para hacer una breve introducción al lenguaje algebraico. El reto consiste en esconder detrás de una serie de símbolos de WhatsApp un mensaje secreto que deberán descifrar a lo largo de las sesiones. Para ello tendremos una secuencia de actividades manipulativas para la pizarra digital interactiva (PDI) y una ficha de trabajo. La resolución del mensaje secreto no llegará hasta las últimas dos sesiones en las que se abordará la resolución de 9 ecuaciones (WhatsApp) que nos darán las sílabas escondidas detrás de los 9 símbolos y que servirán para decodificar el mensaje.

The boom and proximity of WhatsApp´s symbols are used, in this activity, to make a brief introduction to algebraic expressions. The challenge is to find out a secret message hidden behind some WhatsApp´s symbols. We have a sequence of activities to guide students using the interactive whiteboard and at the same time filling a worksheet in. In the last two lessons students will be able to find the secret message by solving nine WhatsApp equations by dragging symbols in the interactive whiteboard.
