Resumen de Educação matemática em cursos de Pedagogia: um estudo com professores brasileiros dos anos iniciais de escolarização

The paper presents the results of a research Project, which aims to analyzing the truths about mathematics education that circulate in Teacher Education courses (of the Southernmost state of Brazil) and how cultural difference operates in the constitution of such truths. The empirical data are composed by interviews done with teachers who work in the first years of schooling and have completed their Teacher Education courses. Using Ethnomathematics theoretical tools, linked to Foucault and Later Wittgenstein.s theorizations, data analysis showed that Teacher Education courses enable students to reflect on their past experiences with school mathematics; the Teacher Education courses allow the appropriation of language games associated with diverse mathematics, instituted by different forms of life; and the boys are positioned as those who perform better in school mathematics and the girls as those who are obedient and able to follow rules in mathematics classes.

O artigo apresenta resultados de um projeto investigativo que teve por objetivo compreender as verdades sobre a educação matemática que circulam em cursos de Pedagogia e como a diferença cultural opera na constituição de tais verdades. Seu material empírico consiste em entrevistas realizadas com professores dos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental graduados em cursos de Pedagogia. Com o uso de ferramentas teóricas da Etnomatemática, em sua interlocução com as teorizações de Foucault e do �Segundo Wittgenstein�, a análise das entrevistas mostrou que o Curso de Pedagogia possibilita aos estudantes uma reflexão sobre suas experiências anteriores com a matemática escolar; o Curso de Pedagogia possibilita a apropriação de jogos de linguagem associados às matemáticas instituídas por diferentes formas de vida; e os meninos são posicionados como os que têm melhor desempenho na matemática escolar e as meninas como as que são obedientes e capazes de seguir regras nas aulas de matemática.
