Resumen de Métodos avançados de cálculo de estructuras metálicas submetidas à acçao do fogo

  • Tha fice resistance calculation in metallic structures needs the characterisation of the thermal action and the material thermal properties variatiun with temperature as well as the thermal conduction problem resolution to a domain with well know boundary conditions. This procedure will belong to the advanced calculation methods proposed lo Eurocode and will need some numerical calculation. A 3D finite element code has been developed for three-dimensional structural analysis, as well as a two-dimensional interface element for boundary conditions modeling. For the pre and pos procesing, a commercial code has been used, with an interface developed program. Tha thermo-mechanical behaviour of a steel frame submitted to internal fice condition will be presented, using the standard fire curva 1S0834. Conclusions about thermal and mechanical stresses and displacements will ha discussed.
