  • Let Ai be a subalgebra of the nest algebra T( Ni) which contains all finite rank operators in T( Ni) , i=1, 2. Let f be a linear bijection from A1 onto A2 which satisfies f (ABA)= f (A) f (B) f (A) for all A, B in A1 . Then f is proved to be an isomorphism, or a negative of an isomorphism, or an anti-isomorphism, or a negative of an anti-isomorphism. As applications, Jordan isomorphisms and isometries are characterized
